Hayley's latest project, Natural Elements, is a collection of lullabies, laments, airs and odes crafted from moments of  improvisation.  Performed  with award-winning harpist Ellen Gibling, upright bass and percussion, Natural Elements reaches into ethereal realms with sophistication and nuance while celebrating simplicity. Composed while living in a village with the highest tides in the world in Southwest Nova Scotia, Natural Elements is for rest & reflection as much as it is for savour & celebration. The pieces are set to the natural resonances of a violin's open strings, expressing the peace of what it means to in one's element.  Natural Elements marks an aesthetic shift or Ryerson, highlighting her sensibilities as a composer and violinist. Ryerson's music has been presented at Halifax Jazz Festival (2025) and as an art installation at Antigonight: Art After Dark (2025).
